Doster Construction was recently awarded two ABC Excellence in Construction (EIC) Awards by the Tennessee Chapter – an Eagle Award for The Clubhouse in the Residential category and a Merit Award for HealthSouth Franklin in the Healthcare category. The HealthSouth Franklin project also received an Eagle Award in the Alabama Chapter’s 2016 EIC awards. The Excellence in Construction Awards is the industry’s premier competition that recognizes innovative and exemplary merit shop construction projects, world-class safety and diversity programs.
Doster was selected to serve as general contractor for The Clubhouse in Louisville, Kentucky by, the developer, John Buck Company from Chicago, Illinois. The project is located adjacent to the University of Louisville campus and consists of 3 five-story wood frame buildings. The new complex has 271 units and 758 beds and more than 400,000 square feet of living space. Amenities include two courtyards, a swimming pool, a club room, fitness area, a theater, computer/study room, and a hammock garden. The project also includes a 5-1/2 level parking garage which accommodates more than 634 spaces.
Doster began site work on the HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital in Franklin, Tennessee in late November 2014 and completed the 50,000 square foot rehab and physical therapy facility in late November 2015. HealthSouth began accepting its first patients in December 2015. The $14.8 million project consists of a new 50-bed, 2-story structural steel building that includes an outdoor therapy area, therapy gym, kitchen and dining area, isolation room, evaluation room, ADL suite, and pharmacy.
