Doster Construction Company recently completed the second phase of renovations for the UAB Hospital Highlands in downtown Birmingham, Alabama.
The first phase of the interior healthcare renovation completed in 2023 and included a total demolition of the existing third floor east quadrant of the hospital and an 18,000 square foot renovation to create a new outpatient clinic. The new clinic is open for patients and consists of family medicine, imaging, geriatric, and vein specialties.
The second phase included the full demolition of the existing clinic space and an 8,000 square foot renovation to create a new outpatient sports medicine clinic. The new sports medicine clinic contains a new waiting room, offices, treatment rooms, work rooms, and twenty-two new exam rooms.
KPS Group served as the architect of record and Interior Elements provided the casework and furniture solutions.
